GreenACT project aims to cultivate young people’s 16-25 years old interest in environmental issues, and a caring attitude towards the environment demonstrated by organised actions in their countries for promoting the need to save energy resources, reduce waste, compensate carbon footprint emissions, choose sustainable food and mobility choices, etc.
Eco-Cities Audit Tool gives the opportunity to young people to get a deeper understanding of this sector. Based on Module 2 (Eco-cities) which analyzes the common urban challenges, for example, congestion, lack of funds to provide basic services, a shortage of adequate housing, and declining infrastructure (SDG 11), young people will be invited to explore their cities’ current urban designs, infrastructures, policies, waste disposal systems, pollution and access to services by citizens. Following the assessment results, young people will develop their city’s ROADMAP TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE CITIES and present it to local authorities.
The consortium comprises highly experienced partners that bring to the project different, but also complementary knowledge and experiences
